Print both halves with their broad flange faces on the bed and sleeve walls upward. PETG, 100% infill; no supports. The preview and STL show the print layout with a 4 mm gap. The store reserves an 11 mm bed margin.
One pair per quantity. Place the halves around the cables, then turn flange-up and lower into the desk opening. Leave the 0.4 mm assembly seam; no latch or lid. Physical print and fit testing are pending.
Custom split desk grommet
Fit an odd-size desk opening without recutting it. Set width, length, corner radius and sleeve depth. One matched split pair fits around connected cables.
Example measured opening, 4 mm corner radius. Measure your own desk; no furniture-model fit is assumed.
Fit the opening you already have
- Remove the old trim and measure the smallest inside width and length of the actual hole. For a circle, use the diameter for both and half the diameter for corner radius. An obround has semicircular ends; this outline does not fit an ellipse.
- Measure the corner radius from where the straight edge begins to curve. Use 0 for square corners. Check for hardware below the opening; insertion depth must fit that clear space.
- Leave the chosen overlap as flat desktop around all four sides. Clearance is subtracted once from width and length, half on each side. Assemble the two halves around connected cables, flange-up, with a 0.4 mm seam.
