Frequently asked questions
A few good questions.
From choosing a material to caring for the finished part, here is what to know before you order.
Materials & size
Which materials can I choose?
We print in PLA, PETG, TPU. PLA suits rigid indoor accessories, PETG is a tougher choice for many functional parts, and TPU is flexible. The design and its use determine which is suitable. Read the material guide or tell us what you need the part to do.
How large can a part be?
Each dimension must fit within 245 mm: a maximum of 245 × 245 × 245 mm. We use this working limit on the Bambu Lab A1 to leave room for reliable printing. For a larger design, contact us about splitting it into parts before submitting a quote.
Will a print look like an injection-molded part?
3D prints have visible layers. Small seams, texture changes, and marks where supports were removed can be normal. Fit depends on the model’s tolerances; give us the exact device or loom model and any critical measurements before ordering.
Custom prints & file rights
How do I get a custom quote?
Use the custom print form to upload an STL or 3MF file up to 2 MB, choose material, color, infill, and quantity, and share your contact details. The estimate accounts for the design and print options. Shipping and any applicable tax are confirmed at checkout.
Why does my quote need manual approval?
A job estimated to take more than 12 print hours goes into manual review so we can check capacity and the design. You are not charged while it awaits approval. If approved, you receive the next steps for payment; any needed changes are discussed first.
Can I upload a model I found online?
Only if you have permission for a third party to print it for you. Some licenses restrict commercial printing even when a model is free to download. Check the creator’s terms, keep evidence of permission, and confirm your rights in the upload form. Ownership of your design stays with you.
Can you design a model from a photo or idea?
The quote form is for print-ready files. If you have an idea but no model, send a description so we can discuss feasibility. Design work is not included in an automatic print estimate.
Timing, shipping & care
When will my order ship?
Typical production is 2–5 business days after payment and any required approval. This one-person shop has one printer, so larger orders or a busy queue can take longer. Carrier transit comes after production; see shipping details.
Does expedited shipping speed up printing?
Expedited shipping changes the carrier service after your order is ready. Production time is separate. Contact us before ordering if you have a fixed deadline.
How should I care for my print?
Wipe with a soft cloth and mild soap, then dry gently. Keep prints away from high heat, dishwashers, harsh solvents, and prolonged direct sun. PLA is especially sensitive to heat. Unless an individual listing explicitly says otherwise, prints are not intended for food contact, safety-critical loads, or medical use. TPU can flex, but sharp edges may tear it.
What if something arrives damaged or does not fit?
Contact the shop with your order reference, a description, and photos if requested. If a print is defective or differs from the confirmed order, we will review a replacement or refund. Custom prints have different return eligibility from catalog products; read the returns policy.
