Lease-stick brackets: design & fit notes
This original pair holds two flat lease sticks at measured positions while you thread a slack warp. It addresses looms and stick sections that standard accessories do not fit. Cord or simple hooks can also work and cost less. Each quantity contains two identical PETG brackets. Loom, sticks, padding and soft lashing are separate.
The open-bottom saddle sits over a flat-topped rectangular beam. Measure its width front to back, including any protective padding, and add total width clearance once. Downward engagement is the leg length below the beam top, not the full beam height. Both legs need unobstructed space. Rounded, tapered, projecting-raddle and irregular beams are outside this design’s scope. Presets show example measurements and make no brand-fit claim.
Each bracket points toward the shafts, supporting the exposed ends of two flat sticks. Measure the stick width front to back and thickness vertically with its broad face horizontal. Both sticks must have the same section. Width clearance is added once. The square-bottom seats preserve the entire rectangular stick envelope; 0.8 mm chamfers widen only the slot mouths. The seats sit above the beam top by the selected floor thickness. The notches remain open above the sticks and do not lock them in place.
First-stick offset measures from the beam’s inside-facing surface to the first stick center. Seat that beam face against the inside-facing saddle leg before lashing; the width clearance then lies at the opposite leg. Add the center spacing to find the second center. Check both positions against the shafts, heddles and warp before ordering. The checks retain at least 4 mm between slot mouths and between the first mouth and mount. Arm projection beyond the mount is limited to 130 mm, a design boundary rather than a load rating. A solid tapered underside braces the arm.
Position one bracket outside each edge of the warp. At each end of each stick, allow the bracket width plus at least 4 mm of exposed length beyond the warp. Keep yarn off the printed surfaces. Lash each bracket over its cap and around the beam using soft cord or straps; this is a loose saddle, without an integral clamp. Keep the cross and lease sticks tied independently so they cannot lift out or slide lengthwise. Clear burrs and stringing before use and protect the loom’s finish.
For supporting slack sticks during threading only. Remove before beaming, applying warp tension, weaving, folding or moving the loom. Physical print, fit, surface-finish and use testing are pending. No load rating or promise of universal loom compatibility. Check the fit and stick retention with no warp first.
Print both broad side profiles flat on the bed as shown, 4 mm apart. PETG at 100% infill with a 0.4 mm nozzle; no supports. The complete pair, including the gap, must fit the store’s 245 mm usable envelope within the Bambu A1’s 256 mm bed. All side profiles, saddles and braces lie in the layer plane.
The default pair costs $18 before shipping and tax. Price follows exact extruded material volume and surface area for both pieces, including the open beam saddles, stick notches and braces. Bracket width changes the material even when the two side outlines remain the same. Checkout validates the measurements and recalculates the price on the server.
